At New Radiance Cosmetic Center of Stuart, we pride ourselves on always staying on the cutting edge of aesthetic technology. Maintaining your best appearance need not require drastic surgery — indeed, far from it. Among the variety of minimally invasive procedures we offer are injectable products, which smooth wrinkles, tighten features, and improve overall vitality. These procedures can take less than an hour and requires little to no anesthetic.
What Are Injectables?
When most people hear about injectable skin treatment, they think Botox®. But did you know that there are different types of injectables that for different rejuvenating effects? There two principal classifications of injectables – Neuromodulators and Dermal Fillers. New Radiance also provides Vitamin B-12 and Lipotropic Vitality Infusion Super Shots.
Many patients looking to smooth the lines in their face are most familiar with BOTOX® as the treatment best suited for their needs. New Radiance of Stuart uses BOTOX®and other wrinkle-smoothing injectables to treat the muscles that cause these undesirable facial lines.
The aforementioned Botox® is considered a Neuromodulator. Neuromodulators such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® are used to reduce or even remove the lines on the forehead between the eyebrows and around the eyes, by relaxing the muscles responsible for the development of static and dynamic lines or wrinkles. For the most part, they can be used interchangeably, but a free consult can always help you decide which is best for you.
Dermal fillers work in a similar way to collagen, by ‘filling in the gaps’ where skin firmness has deteriorated, allowing wrinkles to appear on the surface. The filler is injected directly into the crease or hollowed area where it binds with the water naturally present. The filler stays there, supporting the skin from lower layers meaning that the surface appears smoother.
As well as softening those laughter lines, the uplifting effect can be used to augment (change the shape of) your lips and to contour your face. For example, if that cute chin-dimple you used to dote on has disappeared, you can coax it back by putting a little filler in the surrounding skin.
